Please let us know how your child wishes to be identified by use of pronoun as well as any costuming preferences
(example would prefer a masculine-presenting style of costume versus a feminine-presenting style).
It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to let us know what is preferred. 
If you are unsure of which dance attire requirements (see below) apply to your child and their preferences, please inquire.

Dancer Attire Requirements:

Beginner / Pre-Primary Tap & Ballet

·         ATTIRE – Bodysuit and tights (any color & style acceptable) -for feminine-presenting dancers

                     T-shirt and shorts (any color & style), socks - for masculine-presenting dancers

·         HAIR – securely fastened off neck and completely out of eyes

·         TAP - BLACK  tap shoes with toe and heel taps, elastic fasteners (please remove ribbon and add black sewers elastic)

·         BALLET  - BALLET PINK leather ballet slippers only  with elastic across the instep -for feminine-presenting dancers

   BALLET  - BLACK gymnastics flexors or ballet slippers only with elastic across the instep - for masculine-presenting dancers


Primary Tap and Jazz

·         ATTIRE – bodysuit or lycra dancewear (any color & style acceptable) with tights or socks for feminine-presenting dancers

T-shirt and shorts (any color & style), socks - for masculine-presenting dancers

·         HAIR – securely fastened off neck and completely out of eyes

·         TAP - BLACK  tap shoes with toe and heel taps, elastic fasteners (please remove ribbon and add black sewers elastic)

·         JAZZ  – BLACK leather jazz shoes, preferably slip-on, lace-up also acceptable

 

Primary / Junior Ballet

·                ATTIRE - bodysuit (any color), ballet skirt (mid thigh length, any color), tights (color - BALLET PINK) for feminine-presenting dancers;

  T-shirt and shorts (any color & style), socks - for masculine-presenting dancers·        

HAIR - bun without bangs, or completely pulled out of face if not long enough for a bun

·         BALLET SHOES- BALLET PINK canvas (preferred) or leather, split sole for feminine-presenting dancers;

BLACK leather for male-presenting dancers

 

Intermediate / Senior Ballet and Pointe

·         ATTIRE - bodysuit (any color), tights (color - BALLET PINK) for feminine-presenting dancers;

  T-shirt and shorts (any style or color), socks - for masculine-presenting dancers

·         HAIR - bun without bangs, or completely pulled out of face if not long enough for a bun

·         BALLET SHOES- BALLET PINK canvas (preferred) or leather, split sole for feminine-presenting dancers;

BLACK leather for male-presenting dancers

·         POINTE SHOES -  shoes should only be bought with teacher recommendation

 

Junior / Intermediate / Senior / Adult Tap and/or Jazz, Lyrical

·         ATTIRE – any dancewear/ exercise wear hemmed to appropriate length,

         tights or socks,  (NO street/school clothes, jeans, pajamas, sweat pants)

·         HAIR – securely fastened off neck and completely out of eyes

·         TAP – BLACK tap shoes  (lace-up preferred) with toe and heel taps

·         JAZZ – BLACK leather jazz shoes – preferably split sole and slip on

·         LYRICAL - BLACK OR BEIGE leather jazz shoes - preferably split sole and slip on - Shoe color for recital to be determined at a later date

                                                                                                             

Primary / Junior / Intermediate / Senior Hip Hop

·         ATTIRE – any dance wear/exercise wear, tights or socks

              (NO street/school clothes, jeans/pajamas/flannel/heavy sweat pants)

·         HAIR – securely fastened off neck and completely out of eyes

·         Clean ATHLETIC SHOES that offer good support and that have non-marking soles and are only “indoor shoes” not worn outside
